The Motorcross of Nations sees professional motocrossers swap their usual factory teams for their national colours and race for the pride of their countries.

It’s a fast and furious event which sees the best of today’s riders in action on a variety of machinery. Although it seems a modern innovation it is steeped in history, starting in 1947 as the Motocross des Nations.

The USA, Belgium and Great Britain have been the most successful nations, scoring 52 wins between them in 68 events.

However, France achieved a notable upset in 2014 by winning against strong opposition from Belgium and the USA.

The ‘Olympics of Motocross’ can always be relied on to produce spectacular performances and, as you’ll see from the Official Review, 2015’s edition was no exception.

The 2015 edition of the MX of Nations was held at Ernée, France and saw the French team defending their title against powerful opposition from all corners of the globe.

MXoN is the biggest Motocross event in the world and the massive crowd wasn’t disappointed by the entertainment laid on by the battle for the Chamberlain Trophy.

With national pride at stake and teams picked from the royalty of off-road racing the USA team of Justin Barcia, Jeremy Martin and Cooper Webb were out to unseat France and reclaim the trophy for the first time since 2011.

However, the French had named a team consisting of new World Champion Romain Febvre and compatriots Marvin Musquin and Gautier Paulin and were determined to make a real fight of it.

With Jeremy van Horebeek, Evgeny Bobryshev, Dean Ferris, Kevin Strijbos and upcoming star Max Anstie on other teams the three Motos were all set to be very closely contested and so it turned out.

Sit back and enjoy another classic MXoN encounter.
